In addition to the submission of a Personal Essay, an Ambassador’s Personal Stelladaur Project must meet each of the following requirements, for the specific category selected. Other formats will not be considered.

Poetry:

  1. A collection of 15-20 original poems, not previously published.
  2. Poems must be relevant and reflective of your chosen Character Concept.
  3. Only one Character Concept for the entire poetry collection.
  4. Any style and any length to accurately support the elements of the piece.
  5. Each poem must be titled.
  6. Include a title page for your collection with the following information:
    1. SAID # / Personal Stelladaur Project / Your chosen Character Concept / Your Title: A Poetry Collection (Collection title in italics)

    For Example:
    SAID#0000 - Personal Stelladaur Project
    Kindness
    It Begins With Me: A Poetry Collection

  7. Number each page. Use a header for each page that includes SAID# and the title of your poetry collection. (For example: SAID#0000 / It Begins With Me)(Do NOT include your name or personal contact information on the title page or other pages of the collection.)
  8. Use Times or Cambria 12-point font.
  9. Submit as a Word or pdf file.
  10. Do NOT include any artwork or images.
  11. Poems will be judged according to the following criteria:
    1. Originality of ideas – 25%
    2. Relevance to chosen Character Concept, and specific scene or quote from Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog – 25%
    3. Evokes emotion or feeling with clarity – 20%
    4. Use of various forms of poetry styles – 15%
    5. Technical aspects of writing – 15%

Short Story or Memoir:

  1. Work must be Ambassador’s original work and not previously published.
  2. Story or memoir must be relevant and reflective of your chosen Character Concept .
  3. Must be 2000-3000 words.
  4. Include a title for the piece.
  5. Use Times or Cambria 12-point font with 1” margins.
  6. Include a title page for your story or memoir with the following information (Story or memoir title in italics):
    1. SAID # / Personal Stelladaur Project / Your chosen Character Concept/Your Title: A Short Story or Memoir

    For Example:
    SAID#0000 - Personal Stelladaur Project
    Kindness
    It was So Simple: A Short Story (or Memoir)

  7. Number each page. Use a header that includes SAID# and the title of your story or memoir. (For example: SAID#0000 / It was So Simple)(Do NOT include your name or personal contact information on the title page or other pages of the story or memoir.)
  8. Submit as a Word or pdf file.
  9. Do NOT include any artwork or images.
  10. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
    1. Originality of ideas – 25%
    2. Relevance to chosen Character Concept, and specific scene or quote from Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog – 20%
    3. Proper use of punctuation, spelling, grammar, etc. – 20%
    4. Organization and Development - (The story flows with interesting sentence and paragraph structure, good use of dialogue, characterization, tension, and other key elements of excellent story writing.) – 20%
    5. Story engages the reader; keeps the readers’ attention – 15%

Art:

  1. All art must be Ambassador’s original work and not previously recognized for any awards.
  2. Must be relevant and reflective of your chosen Character Concept.
  3. Must require a minimum 25 hours of dedicated work on the project.
  4. Keep a log of dates and hours worked on project. Include the log as part of your Personal Essay.
  5. One art piece per registered Ambassador. Title your piece.
  6. May use any art medium.
  7. Submit a cover page for your piece with the following information:
    1. SAID # / Personal Stelladaur Project - ART / Your chosen Character Concept: Your Title / Medium

    For Example:
    SAID#0000 - Personal Stelladaur Project - ART
    Kindness: Bread for the Hungry
    Watercolor
    (Do NOT include your name or personal contact information on the cover page or images.)

  8. Submit 1-5 high-resolution digital images of your completed project in jpeg, PNG, or GIF formats. Label with SAID#, Title and numbered images. (For example: #0000, Bread for the Hungry 1; Bread for the Hungry 2, etc.) NOTE: We do NOT accept original art for submission.
  9. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
    1. Artistic and Technical Skill – 25%
    2. Creativity and Originality – 25%
    3. Relevance to chosen Character Concept, and specific scene or quote from Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog - 25%
    4. Ability to inspire others – 25%

Photography / Videography:

    1. All images must be Ambassador’s original work and not previously published or recognized for any awards.
    2. Must be relevant and reflective of your chosen Character Concept.
    3. Must submit a collection of 3-5 different images.
    4. Title the collection.
    5. Must require a minimum of 25 hours of dedicated work on the project.
    6. Keep a log of dates and hours worked on project. Include the log as part of your Personal Essay.
    7. Submit a cover page for your collection with the following information:
      1. SAID # / Personal Stelladaur Project - PHOTOGRAPHY / Your chosen Character Concept:Your Title

      For Example:
      SAID#0000 - Personal Stelladaur Project - PHOTOGRAPHY
      Kindness: Bread for the Hungry
      (Do NOT include your name or personal contact information on the cover page or any pages)

      1. Submit 3-5 high-resolution digital images in jpeg, PNG, or GIF formats. Label with SAID#, Title and numbered images. (For example:  #0000, Bread for the Hungry 1; Bread for the Hungry 2, etc.) NOTE: We do NOT accept hard copy printed images for submission.
      2. Alternatively, you may submit a 2-3 minute artistic video to reflect your chosen Character Concept. Title the video and label as indicated above.
      3. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
        1. Artistic and Technical Skill – 25%
        2. Creativity and Originality– 25%
        3. Relevance to chosen Character Concept, and specific scene or quote from Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog - 25%
        4. Ability to inspire others – 25%

Music Composition and Performance:

      1. All compositions must be Ambassador’s original work and not previously published or recognized for any awards.
      2. Compositions and performances must be relevant and reflective of your chosen Character Concept.
      3. If a performance, no longer than 3 minutes.
      4. Must require a minimum of 25 hours of dedicated work on the project.
      5. Keep a log of dates and hours served. Include the log as part of your Personal Essay.
      6. Compositions may be an arrangement for any instrument, including or not including vocal.  You may choose to only submit a performance file of your original piece. However, if you submit a written composition, a performance file, performed by the registered Ambassador, must be included.
      7. Submit composition in pdf. If submitting a performance, we accept audio only.  NO video performances.
      8. Use the following format for the subject heading of the files:
        1. SAID # /  MUSIC / Your chosen Character Concept: Your Title

        For Example:
        SAID#0000 - MUSIC - Kindness: A Smile for You
        (Do NOT include your name or personal contact information in the files.)

      9. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
        1. Artistic and Technical Skill – 40%
        2. Creativity and Originality– 20%
        3. Relevance to chosen Character Concept, and specific scene or quote from Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog – 20%
        4. Ability to inspire others – 20%

Business Entrepreneurship:

      1. All business plans must be Ambassador’s original ideas, creation, and development, and not previously recognized for any awards.
      2. Must be relevant and reflective of your chosen Character Concept.
      3. Must require a minimum of 25 hours of dedicated work on the project.
      4.  Keep a log of dates and hours worked on project. Include the log as part of your Personal Essay or Business plan overview.
      5. The business does not need to be fully implemented or currently in operation to be considered. However, operating businesses must be fully licensed, and will receive a greater weight in the judging process. Nonprofits are acceptable.
      6. Submit a 10-15 page business plan in the following format:
        1. Word document with 1” margins.
        2. Times or Cambria 12-point font.
        3. Include a title page with the following:
          1. SAID #, selected Unit number and Character Concept Statement, BUSINESS PLAN – Title of your business
          2. Please do NOT include your name or personal contact information on the title page or anywhere in the document.
          3. Number each page. Use a header that includes SAID# and the title of your business on each page.
      7. Submit as a Word or pdf file.
      8. Business plan should include the following information:
        1. Summary or overview of your business or idea
        2. Detailed description of your company, organization and management.
        3. Market analysis
        4. Service or product description
        5. Sales plan
        6. Funding options
        7. Projected revenue
        8. 3-5 images may also be submitted to help covey ideas
      9. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
        1. Originality and Marketability– 25%
        2. Organization and Development– 25%
        3. Relevance to chosen Character Concept, and specific scene or quote from Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog – 25%
        4. Ability to help or inspire others – 25%

Service and Compassion:

The Personal Stelladaur Project for Service and Compassion is an opportunity for Ambassadors to provide meaningful service to individuals, groups, families, or communities in need. The Ambassador may choose to include other individuals to assist with the project, however, he or she must be responsible to develop, organize, implement and oversee the entire project. The Ambassador determines what the service will be. The following requirements also apply:

    1. Ambassador must provide at least 25 hours of actual personal service to individuals, groups or families, not including the development and organization of the project.
    2. Keep a log of dates and hours served. Include the log as part of your Personal Essay.
    3. You may submit up to 5 high-resolution digital images of your service work, in jpeg, PNG, or GIF formats. Title and number your images. (For example: It Begins With Me 1; It Begins With Me 2, etc.) (Any photographs submitted are for clarification of the project and will not be part of the judging criteria.)
    4. Entries will be judged according to the following criteria:
      1. Relevance to chosen Character Concept, and specific scene or quote from Stelladaur: Finding Tir Na Nog – 25%
      2. Originality of idea – 25%
      3. Implementation of actual service – 25%
      4. Benefit to individuals in need – 25%
